‘Raees’ unsuitable for viewers in Pakistan Says Government

The Censor Board of Pakistan has not given the NOC to the Bollywood film Raees. The Ministry of Information rejected the request to allow screening of the film Raees in Pakistan. The Ministry of Information consider that this film is unsuitable for the viewers in Pakistan hence it should be banned and not allow to screen in Pakistan. The film starring Pakistani actress and top model Mahira Khan and Bollywood romance king Shahrukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the leading roles of this film which is named Raees. This Bollywood movie was made in Hindi language and was released on 25th January 2017. The budget of this movie Raees was 65 crore Indian Rupees. The running time of this Bollywood movie Raees is 144min. This movie Raees is produced under the label of Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment Production companies. The movie Raees is directed by Rahul Dholakia, while produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Gauri Khan. The music of this Bollywood film Raees is composed by Ram Sampath. The cinematography of this film is done by K.U. Mohanan. The film Raees is edited by Deepa Bhatia. The movie Raees was distributed by the Red Chillies Entertainment.

Raees’ declared as unsuitable for viewers in Pakistan:

In September, 2016 after the Uri attack, all the Pakistani artists were banned from working in any Bollywood movie and threatened by different extremists group in India. Film Exhibitors Association of Pakistan imposed a ban in October on the screening of Bollywood movies in Pakistan and also Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) banned Indian TV channels and drama serials aired in Pakistan. The Censor Board of Pakistan has not given the NOC to the Bollywood film Raees. The Ministry of Information rejected the request to allow screening of the film Raees in Pakistan. The Ministry of Information consider that this film is unsuitable for the viewers in Pakistan hence it should be banned and not allow to screen in Pakistan.
