PSL 2 Final Match Tickets Sold Out in less than 24 Hours
After the public go- ahead by the Punjab Government to the Pakistan Super League second edition final match in Lahore, Pakistani people broke out to buy tickets in a very large number. PSL and PCB management has given The Bank of Punjab the authority to sell PSL second edition final match tickets which is to be held in Lahore on 5th March, 2017. The final match tickets price started from PKR 500 to PKR 12,000. PSL and PCB management has placed tickets on the 15 branches of Bank of the Punjab (BOP) in Lahore. Also many clashes were reported outside The Bank of Punjab (BOP) as cricket fans attempts to buy PSL second edition final match tickets. PSL second edition final match will be played in Gaddafi stadium Lahore. Out of the PSL teams Quetta Gladiators have made their way in the final of PSL 2 by beating Peshawar Zalmi in a thriller match just by one run. While the second finalist team will be decided by the Playoffs match.
Foreign Cricketers of PSL 2 finalist team refused to visit Pakistan:
Many big names of the Quetta Gladiators have refused to visit Pakistan to play the final of Pakistan Super League due to security concerns. Foreign players of Quetta Gladiators Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright and Tymal Mills will not be coming to Pakistan to play the PSL 2 final match. Luke Wright tweeted that: “It’s with a heavy heart I will not be coming to Lahore. I have a young family and for me a game of cricket is just not worth the risk.” Moreover he also said: “I’m sorry as I know how much it means to you all and hopefully in the future the safety will not be in doubt to come play there.”
Fool Proof Security will be provided to the Foreign Players:
The Punjab Government assured that fool proof security will be provided to the Foreign Players visiting for PSL 2 Final Match on 5th March, 2017 which is to be played in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board has assured all the foreign players that they will be provided state guest-level security, the security and the protocol which is provided to any visiting head of state. The Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah assured in his statement that Punjab is ready to host the PSL second edition final and provide the cricketers and other foreign officials with full fool- proof security. The Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Lahore is safe for the players even after recent bombing on Mall Road Lahore. Before the start of this Pakistan Super League (PSL) edition the Pakistan Cricket (PCB) held a meeting with all the foreign players to assure them regarding security.
The PSL Chairman Najam Sethi said in his statement: “I will be going back to Dubai now and once the finalists are confirmed I will again talk to the franchise owners and foreign players. We have also prepared a backup list of foreign players in case the overseas signings of the finalist teams refuse to come to Lahore. “In Pakistan Super League second edition which is been currently played in United Arab Emirates UAE on the cricket grounds of Dubai and Sharjah are just left with few matches. The Pakistan Super League PSL management and PSL franchises have started the process of collecting the data that which foreign players will travel to Lahore, where the final is scheduled for 5th March, 2017.
